Chapter 166 - Abel’s Social Life Is Over if I Say It Out

When Filia noticed Alice looking at a somewhat inappropriate location, she subconsciously looked down and scrutinized her skirt.

However, she failed to find any problems, so she couldn't help but wonder why Alice was looking at her skirt with such a strange gaze.

"What are you looking at Is there something wrong with my attire" Filia asked.

Because of Alice's appearance, Filia never suspected that Alice would be having thoughts about her panties.

She merely thought that there was something wrong with her attire.

"No, it's nothing," Alice said, shaking her head.

She had previously promised Abel not to tell Filia about her hiding in Filia's panties.

So, she quickly changed the subject by saying, "As you've guessed, I am the Hero of this generation."

"Sure enough.

It's surprising, though.

I didn't think this generation's Hero would be the princess of a human kingdom," Filia said with a smile.

Then, wearing an amused look on her face, she continued, "There have been many novels online pairing the Hero and princess together recently.

I bet nobody would think that the two were actually the same person."

Actually, the real Hero is one of the demon realm's Four Heavenly Kings… Alice inwardly retorted.

"Anyway, it's a relief that you're the Hero.

I've been rather worried because of the special power inside your maid, which is why I came to verify your identity," Filia said, failing to notice the strange look on Alice's face.

Then, she continued, "Since she is now working by your side, I believe you must've used some method to reform her.

I hope you can lead her well and prevent her from taking the wrong path again."

Actually, I don't even know how I reformed her… All I did was reveal my identity as the Hero, and she immediately got reformed…

Alice felt that she was retorting to every sentence Filia was saying.

Unfortunately, despite her urges to verbalize her retorts, she couldn't allow others to learn about these secrets.

Hence, she had no choice but to keep her complaints to herself.

"Other than that, I came here for another reason," Filia said as she looked at Alice.

Then, she opened the small pouch tied to her waist and pulled out a long wooden staff from it.

"I wanted to give this to you."

"This is…"

Alice was momentarily stunned when she saw the staff Filia took out.

However, it wasn't because the staff looked odd or anything.

Instead, it was because she had seen this staff before.

"This is the staff Abel used in the past.

It's the Primal Elven Staff, and Abel named it 'Katina.' It stands for 'unfulfilled wish' in the ancient language of the elves," Filia said, introducing the staff Alice had previously seen in the Nature Shrine.

Then, she pushed the staff into Alice's hands and continued, "This staff has been placed in the village's Nature Shrine, and nobody has used it for the past thousand years."

"This… Isn't this your boyfriend's staff Is it alright to give it to me" Alice asked, revealing an awkward expression as she looked at the Primal Elven Staff.

Although Filia mentioned that Abel had named this weapon "Katina," Alice knew that the staff's actual name was "I've Decided."

[Weapon: Primal Elven Staff - I've Decided]

[Quality: Epic]

[Effect: Mind 1000, Control 1000, Mana 2000]

[Additional Effect:

Nature's Blessing (Passive Skill.

You can create nutrition for your body through absorbing natural light.

Your perception toward mana is increased significantly);

Forest's Love (Passive Skill.

The power of your mana is doubled when you are in a forest.

Your enemies will receive the Forest's Curse when they are in a forest.)]

Alice could easily guess what had taken place back then.

After receiving the Primal Elven Staff, Abel was most likely very happy and shouted something along the lines of: "I've decided! This staff will henceforth be called 'Katina!'"

Fortunately, the staff was only an Epic-grade weapon instead of a Law-grade weapon.

Hence, it didn't have the same limitations as the Hero's Sword, and its user didn't have to shout out its true name and make it known to others to wield its full power.

"It's fine.

Abel would've liked you to have this staff as well," Filia said, a hint of nostalgia appearing on her face as she recalled Abel's gallant appearance.

While Abel might be a woman in reality, her handsome and heroic appearance when she fought the Demon King to death was still deeply engraved in Filia's mind.

"You are a Hero as well, after all.

The last thing Abel would want is to see this staff collect dust in the Nature Shrine."

Wait, no, lady, don't go arbitrarily making decisions now.

Your girlfriend's soul is still in your panties, and she's listening to our conversation right this instant.

How about we ask for her opinion on this matter first

Alice felt very troubled by this situation.

She might have been moved and accepted the staff if Abel was truly dead.

After all, while the Primal Elven Staff wasn't the most powerful of weapons, receiving it from Filia, Abel's lover, was akin to receiving the spiritual legacy of the Seventh Hero.

This was a situation that could be recorded in history books and shared with future generations.

However, the problem lies in Alice knowing that Abel wasn't truly dead.

Instead, the Seventh Hero's soul was residing in Filia's panties.

Moreover, Alice had even studied under Abel in the Nature Shrine for the past week.

Had Abel intended to give the Primal Elven Staff to her, the elf would've said something about it this past week.

Yet, the fact of the matter was that Abel had not mentioned the Primal Elven Staff even once this entire week.

Of course, Alice felt that Abel was unlikely to mind giving the Primal Elven Staff to her.

After all, Abel had taught her with a great dedication this past week.

She could see that Abel was earnestly treating her like a senior would to her junior.

Seeing how dedicated and sincere Abel was in her actions, Alice felt that Abel was unlikely to mind giving away a weapon that she no longer had any use for.

Unfortunately, the thought of passing on the Primal Elven Staff must've slipped Abel's mind.

Hence, the current awkward situation where Filia was handing the Primal Elven Staff instead.

This situation was akin to a student appearing empty-handed when they were saying goodbye to a teacher they were close with during a graduation ceremony, only for the student's parents to show up later with a parting gift.

In such a situation, the student would seem incredibly rude and ungrateful.

The situation Abel faced was something similar.

Alice could even imagine the sight of the elf saying: "It's not that I didn't want to give you this staff.

I just forgot about it." However, if Abel spoke up now, Filia would quickly realize that Abel's voice was coming from her panties, and the wonderful persona Abel had maintained for nearly two thousand years would crumble instantly.

Hence, Abel had no choice but to stay silent right now.

"What's wrong" When Filia noticed Alice looking at the Primal Elven Staff, similar to how she looked at the lower half of her body previously, she couldn't help but ask, "Is something wrong"

"No… Nothing…"
